I am a postdoctoral researcher interested in the material culture of children. My work lies at the crossroads of childhood studies, comics studies and cultural history. My prime research objects are comics, and children’s periodicals from the mid-nineteenth to mid-twentieth centuries. I read Spanish, Italian, French, German and Dutch which allows for a comparative approach and a transnational scope.
